LIGHT & SOUND SCULPTURES

SITE-SPECIFIC INTERMEDIA INSTALLATIONS

Various side-specific light & sound sculptures, constructed and enacted specifically for and in each environment.

Every of these artificial habitats, are functioning in one hand as settings for live performances, in which the artist conducts and controls electro-acoustic music, sounds, silences, light, darkness, shadows and other media (e.g. for a whole day or longer). And on the other hand, they act as arranged yet alternating sculptures, that are left subsequent to the performance as futuristic artifacts by themselves.

The emerging sounds are based on the surrounding site, processed and deconstructed in real-time, using different algorithms and feedback systems via self programmed software & hardware. Lights are e.g. controlled by the music via audio analysis, illuminating the site.

The Goal is to create intense room-filling atmospheres, in which the open participant can freely move, observe, and experience.
